Yes, you will be expected to start reducing or eliminating your coffee consumption during Week 1 of the detox program. Many participants use the program as a way to kick the caffeine habit without experiencing withdrawal headaches or feeling deprived.

Will the detox foods be expensive?

Unfortunately, this is a popular misconception. It is possible to eat an all natural healthful diet and not break the bank. In Weeks 1 and 2 of the program, we discuss ways to eat and cook organically on a budget and most participants find that switching from a highly processed diet to a whole foods based one decreases their monthly grocery bill.

Will I be able to socialize while on the detox?

While you are expected to eliminate alcohol and sugar during the program, it is possible to socialize while on the detox. We will prepare you a list of healthy restaurants, fun drinks, party foods and discuss how to prepare for social events.

Will I still be able to maintain my typical schedule?

Yes, we hope this class enables you to live your life in the healthiest way possible without major disruptions to your schedule.

If I am pregnant or nursing, can I still do the detox?

No, it is not advisable to detox while nursing or pregnant.

If I have to miss 2 classes, should I still join the class?

If you will miss 2 or more classes, you may get the most benefit from scheduling individual appointment times with Dr Tracy or Dr DiBacco instead of joining the next class.

How does this detox differ from the 3 day colon cleanse I got at the drug store?

We have prepared the Whole Health Detox to be a holistic experience and an opportunity to take the time necessary to detox slowly and healthfully, to not get too tired or have detox symptoms. Our program does not include laxative-based supplements and instead has a combination of supplements to allow true optimization of detoxification through the liver, kidneys, skin and colon rather than just increase bowel movements.

Do I have to cook everything from scratch?

We do provide helpful hints and lists of prepared foods approved during the detox.

Do you have to be a patient of Dr. DiBacco’s or Dr. Tracy’s in order to sign up?

No, we welcome existing patients and newcomers equally to the class.

Will my prescription medication needs change during the detox?

No, the program is designed not to change your medication needs, however, any specific questions should be brought to your prescribing physician.

Why do we need to detox?

The barrage of environmental toxins including outdoor/indoor air, water, and food is constantly challenging our detoxification systems. The class is a chance to lessen the burden on our bodies and experience a deeper level of detoxification.

Can I host a detox class in my home/office/business?

Is there fasting during this detox?

No, we do not teach fasting as part of the program, however, some of our participants have elected to do a short fast during the detox.
